Settlement Visa

The UK settlement visa will lift your immigration restrictions. You can apply for settlement after having spent a continuous period of time in the UK – usually five years. To be eligible you will need to show you can meet the English language requirements as well as passing a Life in the UK test.

You will also need to demonstrate that you have abided by your visa conditions and continue to meet the requirements of your current UK visa/immigration category under which you current UK residence permit has been issued.

You can meet the English language requirement by passing an English test, having a degree taught in English or being a national of a majority English speaking country.
